LEVEL-5’s upcoming mobile title Inazuma Eleven: Cross is almost ready to arrive in Japan. And there’s already a massive collaboration happening right at the launch! The football RPG franchise is collaborating with Japan’s real-world national football team, SAMURAI BLUE. Yes, it’s an Inazuma Eleven: Cross x SAMURAI BLUE crossover!
Inazuma Eleven: Cross is launching on iOS through the App Store and Android through the Google Play Store on June 9th, 2026, in Japan. The free-to-play game is currently available for pre-registration.
The upcoming title is developed by Aiming, the studio known for titles such as DRAGON QUEST TACT, CARAVAN STORIES, and The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden. Inazuma Eleven 3 is the game’s initial roster, and the story focuses heavily on characters associated with that entry.

Ahead of release, LEVEL-5 has unveiled the Japan National Team 2026 Project. It’s a campaign that links the game directly to Japan’s football activities during the buildup to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The partnership with SAMURAI BLUE is one of the central promos for the game’s debut.
They’ve revealed new commemorative artwork featuring Inazuma Eleven characters dressed in the colours of Japan’s national team. The spotlight falls on two of the franchise’s best-known characters, Mamoru Endo and Yuto Kido, who are receiving special collaboration versions for the event.
The pair appear in official-style Samurai Blue uniforms and will be available as limited collaboration units during the event period. LEVEL-5 also referred to the characters by their localized names, Mark Evans and Jude Sharp.
Both characters receive exclusive football techniques in Inazuma Eleven: Cross x SAMURAI BLUE. Endo gains Samurai Shot and Samurai Feint, while Kido receives Samurai Penguin No. 2 and Blue Cyclone.
The visual presentation of these moves draws inspiration from the Yatagarasu. It’s the legendary three-legged crow that is closely associated with the Japan Football Association and serves as a recognizable element of the Samurai Blue identity.
