Anime Warriors 3 balances hands-off play and interactive features just enough to warrant this Walkthrough guide. If you’re like me, you hit a standstill where your power didn’t seem to increase for a while, holding you back from later-game content.
Well, worry not, as I’m here to give you a complete Anime Warriors 3 Beginners Walkthrough rundown from early to late-game.
Let’s get into it!
Anime Warriors 3 Beginners Walkthrough
Each Island provides a similar questline, with an NPC requesting your aid in defeating increasingly difficult mobs until you’re strong enough to battle the boss of the archipelago, after which you move on.
Early-Game
Planet Namek
The Early-Game is pretty straightforward, with Planet Namek working adjacent to a tutorial, teaching you the primary mechanics. Here, you’ll get your first Summons, first Weapon, and battle your first enemies.
I recommend getting a full team here and using the Fuse button (in the party menu) to enhance your warriors’ strength. After taking on Freeze, you’ll move on to Future City.
Future City
Future City is where I recommend using the Summons Pity System to get your first Legendary Summon (unless you got lucky during Namek). Super Vegetable is a great asset for completing this Island, and is helpful during Sand Village, which comes after. Again, using Dismantle -> Fuse will make this unit stronger and better-suited for the quests of this Island and the next.
Before moving on to Sand Village, I suggest AFK-grinding the Cell Boss to get the Z-Sword and Plasma Cape. The Z-Sword is the IDEAL mid-game Weapon, as it has a decent base damage before fusing, and the Plasma Cape increases drop rates, giving you better chances at rarer loot from the next Islands.
If you’re able to equip each Accessory slot (Head, Outfit, and Waist), this is even better preparation.
Hint: You can perform auto-summons next to the Cell boss, and turn on auto-dismantle in the settings so you don’t fill up your inventory with junk characters. Check in periodically to feed your units and increase their strength.
Mid-Game
Sand Village
Now that you’re a little more kitted out, move on to Sand Village. There is an obvious jump in difficulty here, one which you are hopefully prepared for after grinding at Future City. As expected, you’ll complete the progressive questline with increasingly strong enemies.
New units here are also far stronger than those summoned previously. If you attain the Legendary/Mythic, I recommend investing in them using fusion, but also Traits (rolled at Future City by speaking with Bolmy). Traits apply permanent enhancers to units, ranging from DMG, Crit, Speed, DEF, etc.
If you’re struggling with the difficulty increase, try using the Item Buffs you’ve earned through Mailbox rewards, Awards, and Battlepass completion until now.
Sky Island
Sky Island also has a notable difficulty increase, with the questline coming to a grinding halt for most players. This is where I stopped seeing fast improvements in my build and team, leading me to backtrack to previous Islands for new resources, Weapons, Accessories, Fusions, etc.
Hopefully, the tips I’ve shared so far don’t cause the same strife for you. I can only suggest pulling for Sky Island summons (ideally Legendary and Mythic), investing in them through fusing and tiers, and applying Traits to help speed through this Island.
Late-Game
Rain Village
Rain Village is the last Island I’ll discuss for this walkthrough, as it’s the last Island as of writing this article. It’s incredibly difficult here, with a huge power imbalance from Sky Island to Rain Village. The summons cost a lot more, and it’s much harder to progress.
Taking what I’ve taught so far, the best method to survive Rain Village is by getting a complete team of Legendaries/Mythics from Sky Island and Rain Village, levelling them up through fusing and tiers, and equipping a complete Accessory set built on DMG multipliers.
In the section below, I’ll talk a little more in-depth about builds and the current best ones available.
Best Builds
Builds predominantly revolve around Accessories, as there are plenty in the game, each with unique enhancements. Since you can only equip three, one in each slot, it makes your choices far more impactful than initially realised.
Alongside this, you’ll want the best Weapon, which is currently the Paths of Pain Style, unlocked at Rain Village. Paths of Pain also gains a Special ULT when paired with the Rinnegon Accessory.
- DPS Build
- Rinnegon
- U.Gohun’s Outfit
- Hebi
- DMG Build
- Rinnegon
- Orange Vest
- Hebi
- Crit Build
- U. Gohun’s Outfit
- Hebi
- Luck Build
- Super Cells Wings
- Sage Outfit
- Rain Headband
- Drops Build
- Super Cells Wings
- 17’s Bandana
Tips and Tricks
- Battlepass
- The battlepass drops exclusive units and buffs, such as DMG, Cash, Luck, etc. The pass criteria are pretty straightforward, with a daily bundle and a weekly bundle to complete.
- Awards
- Main
- Challenges you’ll passively unlock over time to earn tons of rewards and permanent Buffs.
- Questline
- Includes the Island quests that you’ll become familiar with, as well as Waystone Quests (late-game).
- Main
- Weather
- Weather provides temporary enhancements, happening hourly and chosen via RNG.
- Codes
- AW3 doesn’t have Codes in the classic sense, completely removing the need to insert a special key for rewards. Instead, you’ll redeem all codes automatically via the in-game mailbox system when logging in.
- Level 30 Warriors
- At Level 30, your units will require a Tier increase to level up further (prompted in the Level Up menu). This often only requires Cash, unless the unit is a Mythical rarity, in which case you’ll also need some materials from their home Island. I suggest only spending on units of higher rarity, as the rest are immediately extinguishable on future Islands.
Gauntlet and Raids
The Gauntlet and Raids are challenge-style modes that give unique rewards and are worth taking the time to complete when you’re of sufficient strength. For Raids, you can complete these solo, but I encourage you to have long since completed the Island you’re Raiding.
The Gauntlet, however, includes a unique store and currency brimming with upgrades for you to unlock and utilise. This is also where you find Relics, which apply permanent and powerful buffs when equipped.
