How To Find The Wandering Oak NPC Daily
In case you ever check here and I haven’t yet updated, it’s worth my sharing how to find it yourself.
The Wandering Oak typically only circles the inner ring of home plots in Heartopia, meaning you won’t find it in the centre of town, or in any of the different habitats such as Onsen or the Fishing Village.
Finding it is as easy as getting your vehicle and travelling in a circle in front of all home plots 1-12, checking from the 1st southwest plot, all the way up and then back down to the 12th southeast plot.
This isn’t a constant, though, as he will sometimes travel back to his roots (hah) and end up within the Forest, near where you first meet it.
Wandering Oak Lore
When you first meet the Wandering Oak, you’re introduced to possibly the most important NPC in the game, if you can call it that.
This tree, imbued with the power of the Astalis, can roam freely around the map of Heartopia. However, with each new day, its rapidly growing roots trap it in place until you free it, gaining 3x Roaming Oak Timber in the process.
The timber given by this tree happens to be one of the most necessary, yet rarest, crafting materials in the entire game.

- Q: Are there other ways to get Roaming Oak Timber?
- A: Yes! The Wandering Oak restricts you to 3x Timber per day; however, this log type also appears in the exchange shop for Moonlight Crystals, and occasionally inside of prize bubbles, such as the weekly-rotating Pink Bubbles.
- Q: How important is Roaming Oak Timber?
- A: Being the rarest timber type, it’s always important to have some on hand as it frequently appears in different recipes for furniture crafting. Fortunately, I haven’t seen many NPCs ask for Roaming Oak Timber. I think you only need to part ways with it when creating more decor for your cosy abode.
- Q: Are there other rare materials I need to find?
- A: Yes! Similar to Wandering Oak, Flawless Fluorite is a gemstone deposit that you need to find daily in front of home plots, too. This material also appears in plenty of crafting recipes, making it highly valuable.
