Wright Flyer Studios used a livestream today to lay out the full plans for the Heaven Burns Red x Persona 5 Royal crossover. Firstly, we now know that the collab begins on May 22nd, 2026, with a second phase arriving on June 5th, 2026.
The event adds a new story scenario called Operation Takanawa Mementos – Wake Your Heart -. It also includes a collaboration chapter supervised by Atlus that brings several Phantom Thieves into the mobile RPG.
Who are the featured characters in Heaven Burns Red x Persona 5 Royal?
The crossover story pulls Joker, Morgana, Makoto, and Kasumi into Heaven Burns Red. You’ll also see a Panther-themed costume for Tsukasa Tojo. Music is also part of the collaboration, with a new cover version of Life will Change by She is Legend.
The crossover starts with Kayama, Tojo, and Irene investigating strange incidents around Takanawa Gateway Station. Later, the trio becomes trapped inside a mysterious and unsettling space, where they eventually come across a phantom thief group originating from another world.
The Heaven Burns Red x Persona 5 Royal collaboration leans heavily into Persona-style alternate reality themes. But it’s all happening in Heaven Burns Red’s sci-fi setting. Take a look at the latest trailer below.

While the collab seems exciting, there are also some funny contexts coming to my mind. Like the Phantom thieves coming to an all-girls school. Do you think Narbies are capable of replicating human males in the same way they can female characters?
Also, with Persona 5 almost a decade old, a lot of people are more excited for Persona 6 (which, apparently, is in full development). So, I’m not sure how many players this collab might be able to pull off. Nonetheless, you can grab Heaven Burns Red from the official website for PC, Android, and iOS.
