A new trailer just dropped for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Iron Wok Jan! It gives out a big batch of extra details ahead of the show’s Japanese premiere on July 5th, 2026. The anime series is based on Shinji Saijyo’s manga Iron Wok Jan!

So, Iron Wok Jan! will air every Sunday at 5:30 PM on TV Tokyo and its six affiliated stations. The latest trailer gives a glimpse at several rival chefs and supporting characters who are going to make Jan Akiyama’s life even more chaotic in the kitchen.

The team announced five additional cast members for the series. M・A・O is playing Celene Yang, a chef whose cooking philosophy focuses on heavy and rich flavours while mixing Chinese cuisine with refined French techniques.

Takahiro Sakurai joins as Kei Sawada, a chef who believes cooking is all about fire and builds his dishes around flame-based techniques. Taishi Murata voices Tomohide Jun, the successor to a Chinese restaurant with more than 400 years of history. He treats cooking as a tradition above everything else.

Yusuke Kobayashi plays Yuji Kawahara, a chef obsessed with science, data, and advanced cooking equipment. Masuo Amada voices Nichido Otani, a food critic famous for having an almost supernatural palate paired with an extremely unpleasant personality.

The opening theme song was also revealed in the new Iron Wok Jan! trailer

The series opening is called Kaen and is performed by the seven-member dance and vocal group Genin wa Jibun ni Aru. It’s a fast-paced and energetic song, matching the over-the-top cooking battle atmosphere of the series.

Kaen features lyrics by Kiyoki, composition by SARVAL, and arrangement work by SARVAL, Orca-nyan, and Mashiro Amane. Universal Music is releasing the track. Watch it here!
