How To Prepare for Sea 2 in Sailor Piece
There are an overwhelming number of ways to refine your build, and with the Second Sea being only a week away, you don’t have much time to prepare. So, I’ve condensed it all into this guide so you know what to prioritise.

Melee and Sword
It all begins with which Melee or Sword you have at your disposal. I offer an updated Sailor Piece Melee Tier List and Sailor Piece Sword Tier List, but in short:
- Melee
- Kokushibo
- Obtained via Moon Trainer at Boss Island.
- Kokushibo
- Sword
- Ice Queen
- Obtained via Ice Queen Trainer at Boss Island.
- True Aizen
- Obtained via True Manipulator Trainer at Soul Society.
- Ice Queen
Of the list, I most recommend the Ice Queen Sword as it’s the most recently added weapon, and completely dominates the competition. Plus, if you take the step to unlock its mastery, you’ll gain an incredibly powerful F-Move and +30% DMG!
Ice Queen also synergises best with the newly added Clan, Race, and Accessory.
For the remainder of this guide, I’ll primarily relate my picks to the Ice Queen Sword. HOWEVER, Melee users, I’ll still include recommended picks for you guys! I won’t justify them as much…
Race
- Swordblessed
- +80% Max HP
- +75% DMG
- +20% Sword DMG Multi
- +3% Lifesteal
- +10% DMG Reduction
- Luckborn
- +15% Sword DMG Multi
- +35% Luck Multi
- +90% Max HP
- +15% Melee DMG Multi
- +80% DMG
Clans
- Frostbane
- +40% DMG
- +47% Max HP
- +10% Sword DMG
- +12% Luck
- Each DMG Tick = 0.00225x DMG Multiplier, capping at 1.25x DMG for a 6-second duration.
The Frostbane Clan is a must-have for sword users, offering the most Sword DMG Multipliers of other similar Clans.
If you main Melee instead, try rerolling for the Upper Clan. This Clan applies +40% DMG, +50% Max HP, +12% Melee DMG, +12% Luck, and a passive that has a 20% chance to deal 25% more DMG for 8 seconds.
Accessories
- Ice Queen Outfit
- Obtained via: Ice Queen Boss with a 0.70-1.25% chance.
- Enchant 0: +110% DEF, +87% DMG, and +15% DMG Reduction
- Enchant 10 (Max): +160% DEF, +127% DMG, and +35% DMG Reduction
If you’re already grinding for the new Ice Queen Weapon, you may end up with the Ice Queen Outfit, which, of all accessories, poses the naturally highest stat buffs from Enchant 0 to Enchant 10.
This helps shorten the grind time needed to collect a wide range of items in prep for Sea 2. Efficient!
Cosmetics
Cosmetics aren’t true accessories, but they do enhance your build if you happen upon them. All Cosmetics drop from the secret rarity Cosmetic Crate, which drops from any NPC or Boss. Again, this means you could idly grind for them whilst working on attaining the Ice Queen Sword.
- Commander Cape
- +20% HP and +15% DMG
- Corrupted Wings
- +20% HP and +15% DMG
Runes
- Primordial Rune
- Drops from the Infinite Tower
- Base Buffs: +75% DMG (1.75x Multi)
- Max Buffs: +120% DMG (2.2x Multi)
For the time being, having a solid DMG build is far more important than Luck, as Sea 2 will introduce a new roster of insanely powerful foes, such as sea serpents and world bosses. Theres no point in being lucky if you can’t qualify for the enemy drops.
For this reason, the Primordial Rune is the best choice, as it has the highest DMG affinity of any Rune.
Traits
- Emperor
- 1.60x DEF
- 2.30 DMG
- 30% Cooldown Reduction
The secret rarity Emperor is the current best Trait. Fortunately, these are universal regardless of which combat style you prefer.
Titles
- Frost Empress
- Dropped by Ice Queen with a 0.65-1.2% chance
- +87.5% DMG
The Frost Empress offers the highest DMG buff, and is another drop from the Ice Queen, again suggesting that grinding this boss for her drops before Sea 2 is the best way to progress.
Stats
Stats appear in two places: your profile and the Stat Reroller at Sailor Island.
For your profile, I recommend investing 70/30 into Sword or Melee and HP. (If you aren’t at a high enough level to completely max them out).
This means, 70% stats into Sword OR Melee, and 30% into your HP.
As for the Stat Reroller, this NPC spins for new stats in exchange for Gems. If you’ve battled enough bosses and completed quests, you should have a decent amount to get started.
Aim for SSS or Z Grade. If low on Gems, aim for an A+ grade and higher.
Misc Upgrades
If you get the time and chance to, I recommend also investing in these before the Sea 2 Update.
- Ascensions
- Visit the Ascensions NPC at Sailor Island and meet the requirements to prestige and earn permanent upgrades. If you’ve played for a while, you’re likely familiar with this or already qualify for some of the levels.
- Artifacts
- Artifacts are quite complex, so I recommend checking out my Artifact Guide and How to get Dust guide. (Sorry)
- Haki
- Haki applies DMG and Dodge buffs after attaining.
- Armament Trainer: Snow Island
- Observation Trainer: Desert Island
- Conquerors Trainer: Shibuya Station
- Haki applies DMG and Dodge buffs after attaining.
- Skill Tree
- Similar to stats, you can gradually invest in your Skill Tree, enhancing certain stats, including DMG, HP, Crit Chance, Crit DMG, and Luck.
- Auras
- Similar to the previously mentioned Cosmetics, you can get Auras from the secret rarity Aura Crates. The Crescent, Glitch, Saiyan, Fallen, Winged, and Hellfire all apply a +15% DMG buff.
- Tower and Boss Rush Upgrades
- Tower Island: Tower Upgrades -> invest Tower Tokens earned by playing the tower into stat upgrades, including DMG, Crit DMG, Crit Chance, HP, and Luck.
- Sailor Island: Boss Rush Upgrades -> invest Rush Coins earned by playing Boss Rush into stat upgrades, including DMG, Crit DMG, Crit Chance, HP, and Luck.
