Kagurabachi is officially getting a TV anime series! CyPic made the announcement during the latest Jump Press showcase event. Along with that, the series opened up its official channels and released a teaser trailer and visual.
The Kagurabachi TV anime is eyeing an April 2027 premiere
In fact, they’re planning a whole world tour premiere for the first episode. It’ll show the first 20 minutes of Episode 1 in different places. Then, it will wrap up in Japan with the first full-length screening of Episode 1 anywhere.
Globally, the anime will stream and broadcast through partnerships with MUSE and SMG HOLDINGS. Meanwhile, the producer, CyPic, has previously produced titles like The Summer Hikaru Died when it was under the name Cygames Pictures.
Tetsuya Takeuchi, who worked on From Bureaucrat to Villainess Dad’s Been Reincarnated, will direct the series. Keigo Sasaki, known for Blue Exorcist, will handle the character designs.
They also revealed the cast. Well, sort of. Taihi Kimura will voice the main character, Chihiro Rokuhira. Previously, he played Takeru Narihira in Onmyo Kaiten Re Birth Verse.
The teaser visual shows Chihiro Rokuhira holding his Enchanted Blade and staring forward like he’s about to ruin someone’s day. Three goldfish named Aka, Kuro, and Nishiki float around in the background.
And then there’s the new Kagurabachi TV anime trailer. It opens in a sword forge and puts a lot of emphasis on katana, which is a core part of the story. It’s set in a version of Japan, where modern scenery blends with more traditional aesthetics. Watch it right here!
Until it drops, you can learn more about the anime through the official website or X account.
