Neo Artifacts – Strategy RPG has launched today across iOS and Android globally. Published by Dragonest Games, the twist in the game is that artefacts turn into actual characters you fight alongside.
Neo Artifacts – Strategy RPG in detail
You’re in a modern city where the artifacts have awakened into beings called Artifacters. They have different personality, powers, and even their own will. You play as the Curator who teams up with them to deal with the reality-breaking problems called Distortions.
Now, the Distortions can pop up pretty much anywhere, like suburbs, museums, and busy city districts. So, fighting enemies means maintaining the stability of reality while running around the city.
Neo Artifacts – Strategy RPG is mostly about collecting the Artifacters. You can pull them from different eras and cultures. There’s a bond-building angle as well. The more you invest in them, the more you unlock their stories and also improve how they work together in combat.
There are a lot of different materials, skills, and equipment combinations. Your choices affect combat as well as the story and the city, which is connected to a central hub called the Kantie Foundation.
Kantie is the organisation that runs operations, keeps the Artifacters a secret, and coordinates responses to Distortions. Meanwhile, you uncover more about the characters’ past and how it all connects to the present.
Neo Artifacts – Strategy RPG is fully voiced. The lineup includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Sayaka Ohara, Kikuko Inoue, Yui Horie, Yuka Iguchi, Manaka Iwami, Toshiki Masuda, and Daisuke Namikawa.
The game looks pretty good. The visuals look like they’re straight out of an anime, with a bit of watercolour painting style. Catch a glimpse of the game in the trailer below.
You can grab Neo Artifacts – Strategy RPG from the Google Play Store and the App Store for Android and iOS, respectively.
