Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What does each tier mean?
    • S: These are the most dependable partners in Star Sailors, offering the most combat versatility and team synergy, creating an ironclad fusion of efficiency and skill. A mixed bag of these characters in your loadout will see you through to the later-game content.
    • A: Secondary to the top, these partners are dependable, but have one or two niche drawbacks that make them struggle compared to the top tier. Overall, they have a great handle on combat and make decent secondary options for your team.
    • B: Nestled into the middle tier, these average partners bridge the gap between early and late-game. They have niche and situational skills which you’ll either find use for, or find to be quite useless. Either way, you’ll likely end up with some of these units in your team, and that’s perfectly okay!
    • C: Whilst not the worst, these partners are still quite weak, not having much expression in their skill set. I don’t recommend investing in them, but they’re fine for helping during the early-game strifes.
    • D: These lacklustre units dwell in the bottom tier as the bare minimum. If you’re immediately early-game, they may not seem too bad, but as you progress, you’ll quickly outgrow them. Those here aren’t as versatile in later-game battles, and feel stiff to use due to that.
