The upcoming original anime film L’étoile de Paris en Fleur has unveiled a second teaser trailer. The feature is scheduled to open in Japan on March 13th, 2026. With the new trailer, you can get a glimpse of the story set between Yokohama and early 20th-century Paris.

The new video shows the Parisian streets and an evolving friendship and coming-of-age journey between the protagonists. It opens with Fujiko introducing herself and declaring her goal of becoming a painter. She darts through the city with her dog Mamezou.
Chizuru appears more contained, practising ballet poses at a naginata dojo while recalling the ballerina who once inspired her. The video then shifts to their reunion in Paris. The film’s colourful view of Paris during the early 1900s underscores the hopeful momentum of the two girls as they begin shaping their futures.

More about the staff
The project is directed by Goro Taniguchi, known for work including ONE PIECE FILM: RED. It’s built from concepts crafted by Taniguchi and Katsuya Kondo. Kondo, recognised for contributions to Kiki’s Delivery Service as a concept and character designer, also drafted the character designs for this film.
Three cast members have been officially confirmed so far. Ami Toma plays Fujiko Tsugita, Rina Arashi voices Chizuru Sonoi, and Taichi Saotome takes on the role of Ruslan.
The anime was initially announced in August 2025 as an original theatrical collaboration between Taniguchi and Kondo. It marks the first time the pair has worked together on a feature-length production.
