Little Mouse’s Red Vest Drops a New Trailer with the Theme Song

A new promotional trailer is out for the television anime adaptation of the Little Mouse’s Red Vest picture book series. Known in Japan as Nezumi-kun no Chokki, the book series was created by Yoshio Nakae and Noriko Ueno.

The preview introduces viewers to the small animal characters that populate the story. But the highlight is the series theme song Good Luck! My Friend performed by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. It features Tsuyoshi Muro & Sakana-kun.

Little Mouse’s Red Vest anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on April 4th, 2026, at 9:30 JST. The program will air on NHK Educational TV every Saturday starting at 9:30 AM from the same date. On that note, watch the new Little Mouse’s Red Vest trailer below.

The main cast for the anime includes Kenjiro Tsuda, who takes on the role of Nezumi-kun. He’s recognised for playing Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband. Meanwhile, Mamiko Noto, known for voicing Sawako in Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You, voices Nemi-chan. The two actors will also provide the voices for all other characters appearing in the series.

The direction for the anime will be by Nobuyoshi Habara. His past work includes My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s. Character design and the role of CG director will be by Kanemori Yasuda. Production is by Creadom8, while planning and production are by Poplar Publishing.
