The latest update on the Golden Kamuy anime is here with a new trailer. The promotional video confirms that the television anime’s final arc will begin its broadcast run on January 5th, 2026. The series will air on Tokyo MX and BS11, while Prime Video will stream the episode at 11:00 p.m. JST.

The Golden Kamuy trailer video does more than set a date

It brings back a song that some viewers have already associated with the series’ theatrical side. If you remember, Kogane no Kanata by Awich × ALI was first used for the Golden Kamuy: Sapporo Beer Kōjō-hen prologue films. It will now serve as the opening theme for the final arc.

The two prologue films were released in Japanese theatres earlier this year on October 10th and 31st. They were an early bridge into the anime’s concluding storyline. Watch the new Golden Kamuy trailer here.

Much of the creative team behind the series remains the same. Shizutaka Sugahara is the chief director after handling the fourth season at Brains Base. Noboru Takagi once again manages the scripts, while character designs continue under Takumi Yamakawa.

The series’ path to the final arc stretches back to April 2018, when the first season premiered. Crunchyroll streamed it with English subtitles as it aired in Japan, while Funimation provided an English dub.

The second season continued in October 2018, again streamed by Crunchyroll and later dubbed by Funimation. The third season followed in October 2020 with the same release pattern. Brains Base then took over for the fourth season, which aired from October 2022 to June 2023.

Now, the fifth season, adapting the manga’s final arc, is marked for a January 2026 premiere. Beyond animation, Golden Kamuy also released a live-action film that opened in Japan in January 2024. It was later followed by a television continuation that began in October 2024.
