Penguins have migrated to Onsens Coast, stealing the hearts and fish of all players across Heartopia.
To make sure you make the most of this limited-time visitor, I’ve curated a guide with everything you need to know about the Heartopia Penguins, including location, favourite food, bond rewards, and more!
Let’s get into it.
Heartopia Penguins Location
If you don’t encounter them naturally, you’ll eventually get a gossip quest from Annie to follow a sparkle-lit trail through Onsen leading to a feather in a jar.
The quest then takes you to Bailey J, who explains that this feather belongs to none other than a penguin. After this, you’ll relay that information back to Annie and then be led to their feeding trough.
Or, check below for the red circle on the map to see where their feeder is located.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Will the Penguins come back after they leave?
- A: Maybe! They may be a seasonal bird that migrates to Heartopia during every winter event. Or maybe they’re a one-time encounter. Either way, I wouldn’t chance not making the most of their visit this time around.
- Q: When do Penguins leave Heartopia?
- A: March 14th (GMT), give or take a day depending on your local time and when you typically expect updates.
- Q: How do I increase my bond with Penguins?
- A: Regularly feed them, keeping their feeding pan filled with their favourite foods to earn even more bond hearts.
- A2: Interact with them. Approach a penguin and press the icon above their head, and choose an interactive option to earn bond hearts.
- A3: Collect gifts. Wild animals occasionally leave you gifts of appreciation. Taking the time to collect these will earn even more bond hearts.
- Q: What rewards do I earn for levelling up my Penguin Bond?
- A: Two lovely home statues, including one of a baby penguin at level 3, and another of a penguin family at level 5.
