How To Get Domain Expansion in Sorcerer Ascent
Once you reach level 105, speak to the Kusakabe NPC to begin the questline for obtaining a Domain Expansion.
This questline includes the following:
- Maximum Cursed Technique Mastery
- Each time you use your Technique Skills, you’ll earn EXP Mastery towards levelling it up.
- Reaching Special Grade
- A natural in-game progression after you complete the initial beginner missions.
- x1 Soul Swap Stone
- Obtained via: Travelling Merchant, Box of Luck (1-3), Soldier Groups (World Events), Skitterface Group (World Event), and Flies Group (World Event)
- x1 Domain Expansion Essence
- Obtained via: World Events, Grasshopper Curse Boss, Gloomhorn Curse (World Event), and Boxes of Luck.
Reaching Level 105
The quickest way to reach Level 105 is by completing Quests. These give an abundance of EXP, as well as Boxes of Luck, which can have additional EXP Boosters inside.
There’s also World Events, which helps kill two curses with one stone (I’m sure that’s how that saying goes…) in that you can earn the materials requirements for your Domain Expansion, whilst levelling up, and training your Cursed Technique Mastery.

The Kusakabe NPC resides around Jujutsu High School (level 15+ zone).
As you progress through the main story, you’ll eventually be led to this location, so you don’t need to worry too much about finding him asap, given the expansive map.
