Compile Heart has dropped a new video of Neptunia Unlimited, showing its opening movie. Ahead of its launch later this year, the game has been dropping new trailers, giving us a glimpse of its characters and world.

The Neptunia Unlimited opening movie has the theme song Yuusei no Singularity, performed by nao. YOFFY composed and arranged the song. Take a look at it here.
This will be the first, new mainline Neptunia game since Megadimension Neptunia VII in 2015. The project was officially announced on March 19th, 2026, when Compile Heart confirmed that Neptunia Unlimited would launch in Japan on August 27th, 2026.
The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation 4 version will only be available digitally. A limited edition is also coming, bundling the game with a special box featuring packaging artwork by Tsunako, a premium art book, soundtrack CD, Season Pass, and a Divine Cross promotional card.
The story pushes Gamindustri toward another large-scale disaster scenario. It involves a meteor event threatening the entire world this time. Neptune ends up isolated in a stark white space while a mysterious voice guides her forward.
As for the gameplay, aerial movement is one of the biggest additions in Neptunia Unlimited. The Flying Goddesses system allows characters to freely soar through the air. You deal with enemies and environmental mechanics built specifically for airborne exploration and combat.
Another feature is End Battles, where every Goddess participates together against massive End Bosses. During these encounters, you can use End Counter Skills to block devastating, large-scale attacks before retaliating with stronger offensive abilities.
