The Rune Dungeon has a sole purpose to bestow these sigil-like enhancers onto players. But which should you be striving to unlock and upgrade? My Sailor Piece Runes Tier List answers that in a comprehensive ranking format, detailing the placement reasons for each Rune.
So, dear reader, settle in for the only Tier List you need on Runes, made by a player, for other players.
Let’s get into it.
Sailor Piece Runes Tier List
This tier is up to date as of April 2nd, 2026. [MOON UPD]
S-TIER
- Primordial Rune
- The first Secret Rarity DMG Rune. It possesses the highest affinity for Damage enhancements.
- Radiant Rune
- The first Secret Rarity Luck Rune. It possesses the highest affinity for Luck enhancements.
- Havoc Rune
- The highest natural DMG multiplier of any Rune. Surely it’s a no-brainer why this one is the best in the game.
- Wrath Rune
- Applies a huge DMG multiplier buff. Not as powerful as the Havoc, but still brimming with powerful wrath.
- Destruction Rune
- A flat DMG increase is always a sought-after stat. Going from +25%/+37% DMG with this Rune makes any player feel stronger than ever. Overall, a solid Rune.
A-TIER
- Guardian Rune
- Having better health is always a bonus. In any build, be it combat or weapon, this stat finds itself to be one of the most important factors in survivability. It’s a simple but effective Rune.
- Inferno Rune
- I’m not usually keen on status effects since they tend to lack, but the Inferno Rune deals a huge percentage of Burn DMG for a reasonable duration. Having this Rune in your pocket could turn the tide of a fight.
B-TIER
- Suppression Rune
- Focusing on DMG Reduction, this Rune is great at negating incoming damage. That said, from base to max, its percentile of DMG Reduction feels a little lacklustre when compared to Accessories, which provide the same leverage and additional stats.
- Fortune Rune
- Luck Buffs are hard to come by, and this Rune finds itself as a brilliant situational contender. If you’re grinding for a specific material, having this Rune is a must. Otherwise, it’s not very useful to the main game.
C-TIER
- Blood Rune
- Applies a Bleed DMG effect for a few seconds. It’s decent at the maximum level, but getting it there feels like a slog and an unfelt buff.
D-TIER
- Frost Rune
- Applies a short Freeze status effect, dealing a small percentage of the player’s total damage. I guess this Rune could be useful for combos or getting in extra hits, but it feels too short-lived and weak to be worth anything.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: What does each tier mean?
- S: I highly recommend investing in these Runes. From the get-go, their buffs are felt and appreciated, and when nurtured to their maximum level, they’re unstoppable. They synergise with most, if not all, player builds, and their buffs are highly versatile and sought-after.
- A: Don’t sleep on these because they’re not in the top tier. These Runes are well-balanced and great alternatives if you choose to use them. They’re not as appreciated as the top tier, but that isn’t to say they’re useless.
- B: Nestled into the average tier, these Runes are well-rounded, but tend to be a little obscure until fully levelled up. That, or they’re only decent during very specific situations, making them a lesser-used and under-appreciated Rune.
- C: Whilst not entirely useless, these Runes find themselves in an awkward and obscure tier, bordering the line between niche and entirely forgettable. They have some uses, but aren’t an end-game choice.
- D: Take this bottom tier with a grain of salt. Whilst they don’t compare to their peers, having any Rune is better than having none at all. That said, those here are lacklustre, with niche and situational buffs that don’t synergise well with most builds.
- Q: What are Runes?
- A: Runes are trainable sigils which provide a focused enhancement for the player to upgrade. For example, the Wrath Rune applies a DMG Multiplier, focusing solely on raw power. These upgrades help build refinement.
- Q: How do I get Runes?
- A: All Runes drop from the Rune Dungeon with a slim chance.
