A new television special expanding the Kaguya-sama: Love is War anime has been scheduled for the end of the year. The special is titled Kaguya-sama: Love is War – The Stairs to Adulthood, with a Japanese subtitle Otona e no Kaidan.
It’s based on the original manga by Akasaka Aka, which was published by Shueisha Young Jump Comics. In Japan, the program will begin airing at 22:00 JST on December 31st, 2025, placing it squarely in New Year’s Eve programming.
A-1 Pictures is producing the animation. Shinichi Omata returns to direct the anime special, while character designs are by Yuko Yahiro and music is by Kei Haneoka. The opening theme is Abunai Kioku, performed by Suzuki Masayuki feat. Koga Aoi.
