Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime’s official website has released a fresh teaser trailer and visual for Season 2. The release confirms that the follow-up to the July 2024 run is moving toward its April 2026 premiere window in Japan.

The reveal comes not long after the same material was shown during the Anime Festival Kassel event in Germany. Season 1 director Tatsuya Yoshihara is shifting into the chief director position for the new season. He’s known for his work on Black Clover and more recently Chainsaw Man – The Reze Arc.

The day-to-day directing will be done by Hideaki Nakano, whose past credits include Saiyuki Reload Blast and Servamp. Alongside them, Sayaka Ono, previously the character designer on BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-, continues in that role while also handling chief animation directing.

I’ll let you know about the rest of the staff. But before that, watch the Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 trailer here.

Yuki Hayashi, familiar to many viewers from My Hero Academia, returns to score the music. Meanwhile, the production at Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures continues as a co-project, just as it did for Season 1.

Every major voice actor from the first season is also back!

Kohei Amasaki leads the cast as Will Serfort, with Akira Sekine returning as Elfaria Albis Serfort. Satomi Amano is back as Colette Loire, Masaaki Mizunaka plays Zion Alster, and Tetsuya Kakihara returns as Julius Rainberg.

The story follows a boy with no magical talent. He attempts to climb the ranks in a country where magical ability is synonymous with power. He does so while hoping to one day reunite with his childhood friend who grew into a prodigy.

You can check out the latest updates on the anime on their official X account.
