What if you could transfer your favourite manga moments to clothes and flaunt them in your circle? Oh, and did I forget to mention that you could do it from an absolutely authentic source? Well, MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA is letting users turn selected manga pages into printed T-shirts.
When and where can you get these MANGA Plus T-shirts?
The feature is now live on both the web and app versions of the platform for users worldwide. But it’s not available in Japan, China, or South Korea, and shipping is also unavailable to regions where international delivery is restricted.
The process enables readers to choose a specific page directly within the platform and convert it into a custom shirt design. Every shirt will ultimately display the original Japanese artwork and text. The Japanese pages used are the very first versions published.
Some pages or panels may vary from the translated versions. Also, the final product will include a copyright notice printed at the bottom right of the page image, outside the artwork.
Right now, the MANGA Plus T-shirts project supports more than 270 manga titles. The selection includes ongoing works like SPY x FAMILY and Dandadan. Completed series includes My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Kaiju No. 8.
But you can’t use every page from the manga. Only pages displaying a Create button are available for the MANGA Plus T-shirt creation. Also, for double-page spreads, the full two-page image must be used. You can head over to the official website to check this new feature out.
Although there are hundreds (or perhaps thousands) of brands and websites (and even Instagram accounts) that sell manga and anime-themed clothing, this one is special. You get to do it from a reliable source with the original artwork. And you can include some of your favourite moments or defining moments from the series.
