The fantasy romance series Saved by the Ice Cold Prince’s Embrace is set to receive a light anime adaptation. It will premiere in July 2026, bringing the story of a gentle prince and an unfortunate young noblewoman to TV audiences.

The anime is based on the light novel written by Hokuhoku Yakiimo. Originally released in Japan, the story began serialisation in July 2023 on the web publishing platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The series later received a manga adaptation illustrated by Kusabi Kurokawa, which launched in January 2025.
To announce the anime adaptation, the production team has released a new key visual. It’s also created by Kusabi Kurokawa. The project comes from the fantasy label Comic Spira, which also publishes the manga version.
The story follows Katrina, a girl who lost her mother and was subsequently treated like a servant within her own household. After her stepsister causes trouble at a ball, she’s ordered to travel to the northern frontier for behavioural training.
But the count’s family instead offers Katrina as a substitute, sending her to the frontier in her place. She’s sent to live with a prince rumoured to be cruel and merciless. But upon arriving in the north, she discovers that the cursed prince who rules the frontier treats her far more kindly than expected.
The story follows the relationship that develops between the pure and innocent substitute young lady and the so-called ice prince in a romantic fantasy setting. On that note, you can take a look at the new key visual on the official X account.

It seems like everyone is celebrating the Saved by the Ice Cold Prince’s Embrace anime adaptation announcement. Online bookstores, including Comic Seymour, will hold a new release fair. It’s from April 2nd to 15th and offers the novel at a discounted price.
In addition, the official X account of the Comic Spira editorial department will run a giveaway campaign from April 2nd to 26th. Participants can win original, limited-edition merchandise from the series.
