Netflix has finally revealed the release date and a main visual for Beastars Final Season Part 2. It will begin streaming worldwide on March 7th, 2026. It lands 15 months after Part 1 debuted on December 5th, 2024.

The final season, which is the end of the adaptation of Paru Itagaki’s manga, was first announced in September 2022. The main trailer for Beastars Final Season Part 2 had already been unveiled last December, offering an early look at the closing arc.

What’s Beastars Final Season Part 2 about?

Part 2 centres on the unravelling calm in Zebuth City. The fragile balance between herbivores and carnivores begins to fracture under the weight of Melon’s hidden manipulations. As suspicion intensifies and tensions rise to the surface, Haru finds herself increasingly in danger as Melon edges closer.

Legoshi, having drifted into the Black Market, is forced into another reckoning with his own nature. Meanwhile, Louis navigates complicated new connections in the surface world. Though separated by circumstance, Legoshi and Louis advance toward the same destination: a confrontation with Melon.

So, Legoshi holds onto the possibility of miracles, while Haru keeps her focus on the future. Louis pushes back against what seems like predetermined fate, and Melon harbours open contempt for the world around him.

Beastars adapts the Akita Shoten-published manga series by Paru Itagaki. It ran from 2016 to 2020 in Weekly Shonen Champion and was compiled into 22 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media publishes the English version of the manga.

The anime first premiered in October 2019 in Japan, with its initial broadcast airing in December 2019 on Fuji TV’s Ultra+ block. It later received a global release in early 2020, streaming exclusively on Netflix outside of Japan beginning in March 2020.

The adaptation continues to be produced by Orange, with Shinichi Matsumi directing and Nanami Higuchi handling series composition and scripts. You can learn all about it here.
