I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too has dropped a new key visual. The upcoming TV anime special will premiere in late March 2026. It follows the original TV anime adaptation of the isekai fantasy light novel series.
Yuya Tenjo is returning to television!
The I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too new visual shows Yuya alongside his female companions. It introduces a new face, Gilbert Pfister, also referred to as the Fist Saint. He’ll make his first appearance in the special.
The special carries the full title I Gained Cheat Abilities in Another World, and Now I’m Unrivaled in the Real World – Leveling Up Changed My Life. The project is being produced under the supervision of the original series director. It will continue directly from the earlier adaptation rather than acting as a standalone spin-off. The franchise began as a web novel that launched on the Kakuyomu website in March 2017. It’s written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kazuomi Minatogawa has been serialised on ASCII Media Works Dengeki PlayStation Comic Web website since December 2019.
The TV anime adaptation aired for 13 episodes between April and June 2023. It was directed by Shingo Tanabe at Millepensee, with production handled by TMS Entertainment and animation by Millepensee.
The story follows Yūya Tenjo, an overweight, short, and timid middle school student. He faces relentless bullying at school and emotional abuse from his family, with the exception of his grandfather.
After his grandfather’s death leaves him as the sole heir to the family house, Yūya is expelled from his parents’ home and forced to live alone. It is there that he discovers a portal to another world known as Argena. Through this gateway, he gains extraordinary powers that dramatically alter his life.
