The upcoming television anime Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, known as Tenmaku no Jaadugar in Japan, released its first main trailer. The video reveals the series’ main cast. It’s scheduled to release in Japan in July 2026.
The main cast includes Miyu Irino voicing Shira and Jun Saito voicing Muhammad. There are also Akira Sekine voicing Shitara, Houko Kuwashima voicing Fatima, and Ryota Suzuki voicing Tolui.
The new Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia anime trailer marks the first time audiences can hear the characters’ voices. Alongside the video, the team also dropped a new character art. It shows the major figures who will influence Sitara’s story.

The anime has also been selected for the TV Films competition category at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. The festival will open from June 21st to June 27th, 2026. The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is the world’s oldest and largest animation festival.
Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is based on the manga A Witch’s Life in Mongol, a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tomato Soup. The manga began serialisation on Akita Shoten’s Souffle website in September 2021.
Yen Press publishes an English-language version of the series under the title A Witch’s Life in Mongol. The anime television series adaptation was announced in April 2025, and is being produced by Science Saru.
The anime will premiere in July 2026 on the IMAnimation programming block on TV Asahi and its affiliates, as well as BS Asahi. The production staff includes Naoko Yamada serving as executive director, with Abel Gongora directing the series.
Kanichi Kato is handling the series composition, while Kenichi Yoshida is responsible for character designs and chief animation direction. Koshiro Hino is composing the music. You can learn more about the anime on the official website or the official X (Twitter) account.
