After a long wait of over three years since the follow-up was first revealed, we’ve new news on Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs. It’s finally moving forward with its second anime season, with a 2026 television broadcast.
The series’ official website shared the update alongside a newly released teaser visual. They also revealed the character settings for Leon, Olivia, Angelica, and Marie. We’ll get to see familiar faces returning with refreshed designs.
Studio ENGI will be producing Season 2 once again, with Kazuya Miura returning as the director. Miura is known for work such as Unnamed Memory, DRAMAtical Murder, Full Dive, and Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!.
The series composition remains in the hands of Kenta Ihara. His past credits include Sentenced to Be a Hero, Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, Full Dive, Mieruko-chan, and Saga of Tanya the Evil.
Masahiko Suzuki will handle the character designs and chief animation. He has worked on projects including I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!, Full Dive, Overlord II and III, and Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-.

Kadokawa also confirmed that much of the voice cast from the first season will return for the second season. Among the continuing cast are Akira Ishida as Luxion, Kenichi Suzumura as Julius Rapha Holfort, and Kōsuke Toriumi as Jilk Fia Marmoria. There’s also Shinnosuke Tachibana as Brad Fou Field, Kōji Yusa as Chris Fia Arclight, and Nobuyuki Hiyama as Greg Fou Seberg.

Based on the light novel series written by Yomu Mishima, the television anime premiered in April 2022. Released in North America by Seven Seas, the story centres on Leon, an office worker. He finds himself reincarnated inside an especially unforgiving otome dating sim.
