Stats

I recommend focusing primarily on increasing his DMG stat, as his other stats aren’t as vital to his overall performance.

This is due in part to Ace being the only Hill unit as of the release, meaning he needs to be strong enough to solo all of the third Story Mode map. The best way to tackle this is to have him be a heavy hitter, so he kills more efficiently and has less chance of becoming overwhelmed and throwing the entire run.

How To Get Ace/Spade

Ace appears in the standard Summons banner as a Mythical unit. On the banner, he has a 0.05% attainment rate. However, if he is the featured unit, he will have an increased 0.25% attainment rate.

Summons require Gems, which you earn through Codes, Gameplay, and Quests primarily.

What Makes Ace So Valuable?

Ace, also known as Spade (Donut), is the best damage-over-time unit available upon the Universal Tower Defense release.

What this means is that Ace specialises in building up his damage meter, and gets stronger the longer he exists on a battlefield. Enhanced with the correct Relics and supporting units, he skyrockets into the meta, being the most versatile and efficient unit for all game modes currently supported in the game.

He also allows his user to thrust into the late-game, completing all content with relative ease, so long as they understand how to wield him and refine his skills. Ace is also the only Hill Unit (placement type) as of release, meaning he’s necessary to complete the Story Mode content, as the third map introduces flying enemies.
